Hi, I am Samantha Dixon
Hi, I'm so glad you're here! My name is Samantha, but you can call me Sam. I'm 27 years old, and I am a self-taught photographer, wife, stay at home mom and crazy cat lady.
As a proud national park enthusiast, I spend as much time exploring the wild beauty of the great outdoors as I do capturing intimate moments for couples, families, and everyone in between. For me, adventure isn't just about where you go; it's about the moments you create along the way, and I’m so lucky to be able to document life’s milestones through the lens of my camera.
My Approach
I’m very down to earth and sarcastic. I love random chats about life, traveling, and getting to know each person I work with. I believe all body types are beautiful and I am dedicated to supporting and celebrating all LGBTQIA+ love stories. When we meet, I can promise you 2 things: tons of laughs (mostly from my terrible jokes and questionable acrobatics to get the perfect shot) and stunning photos that we'll create together. It’ll feel like we’ve known each other for years, and I’ll be your biggest hype woman every step of the way!
A LOVE FOR PHOTOGRAPHY, INSPIRED BY MY GRANDMA
My grandmother was one of the most special women I have ever known. She always had a camera in hand, ready to point and shoot at a moments notice. And while she loved to take pictures, she hated to be in them and was hardly ever looking in any pictures taken of her (so funny!). My grandma saw beauty in those everyday moments and helped preserve memories for our family and other families through her photos. She always encouraged me to do the same and it was on our summer roadtrips together that really helped me develop my love for photography and National Parks, too! My grandparents played such a tremendous role in who I am and what I love. I wouldn't be the person I am today without their influence. I have been taking photos as a hobby since I was a young girl in 4-H. After having my daughter and traveling to Moab for a short family trip, I fell in love with my camera all over again and decided to take a leap of faith and launch my photography business. It has been an absolute blessing thus far and I'm so excited to see what the future has in store. As I continue to grow my portfolio, I regularly take photography classes and pursue local opportunities to learn and grow as a photographer. I appreciate each and every one of you that invite me into your journey and allow me the opportunity to tell your story through my lens. The people I have met and worked with along the way so far have really made what I do so special.
